Holly and Dennis

We had the pleasure of photographing a great couple just a few days ago. They are so happy and expecting to add to their happiness in a just a few short weeks. We also spent some time with just the mom-to-be and got some fantastic portraits for her to remember this special time.

Intermittent Phone and Internet

Ever since Ike blew through our area our Internet and phone service has had intermittent outages. If you try to call and you get a fast busy, please call back later or just use the contact form on the website to send me a message. Email is getting through and I will get back to you.

At least our power has been stable so we aren't expecting any problems with completing sessions in our cool air conditioned studio.

Pin Up Style

I went to a pin up workshop last week and learned some interesting and unique techniques for achieving a look similar to the 50's style pin up art. Here's one lovely beauty that's not quite in pin up style, but her picture came out so nice, I just had to share.

Award Winning Photo

I entered a few photos into a glamour photography contest last month. Guess what?! I won! Here's my image that took 1st Place.

She was such a beautiful girl, so easy to photograph. I just love her lips!

Five Glamorous Beauties

It didn't take much to get my second photographer/assistant VERY interested in this glamour session. Who could blame him? Five lovely ladies ready to be photographed in an opulent setting...it was a no-brainer. :-)

Rachel and Mike's Engagement Session

I had fun spending time with Rachel and Mike on Saturday afternoon in downtown Houston photographing their engagement session. They are so in love and didn't mind one bit showing it in public for the camera.

Kara's Senior Session

It kinda comes in handy to have a photographer for an aunt, right Kara?

This is my niece, Kara. She's off to college next fall. She's beauty and brains all in one package and even admitted today she likes math!

I took the liberty to glitz her up a bit after the shoot was over. I hope Mom doesn't mind!



She had brought several changes of clothes to the location. This is one of my favorites. Not sure why, the temperature was in the 70s at the time but it's just sooo cute!

Christmas Portrait

What a fun day in the park on Sunday! I photographed this great family today. We were supposed to do it on Saturday but the weather just didn't cooperate. It rained the first half of the day so we rescheduled for the next day. The sun came out for a gorgeous day on Sunday.

It was chilly, but you know, it made it seem more like Christmas. So many times around Houston, it's hot during the holidays and I just miss the cooler weather.

An Elegant Mom

Sunday I was invited into the home of Teresa to capture a portrait of herself and her son. Little did I know how elegant she was.

It was so evident how close mother and son were. It gave me goosebumps when I saw this image on the back of my camera.

Becky and David

Over the long holiday weekend, I photographed a great wedding. Both the bride and groom were so expressive and full of life. There was much laughter all throughout the evening.

There were emotional toasts with a few tears from the couple's close friends later in the night. These two are very lucky indeed.

Claire and Fiona

Two beautiful sisters for a portrait session in the park. Who could ask for anything better?

After a more than a month of rainy weather, we finally had a dry day over last weekend when their portrait session was scheduled. Mother Nature was not quite ready to give us a perfect photography day just yet (have to wait a few months for cooler weather) and blasted us with 100 degree heat even in the shade. Luckily, a quick brush of powder helped to keep them looking cool and poised.

Austin Bridal

Delisi was so radiant in her gown standing in the stone archway in a beautiful garden.

The path behind her led into a small private garden. The path ahead lead to a courtyard with a carved fountain.

Nearby was a cool, refreshing pool surrounded by tropical palm trees. It was just right for taking off your shoes and dipping your toes into the calm blue water.

Trash the Dress at Surfside

Thanks to Michelle, Deana, Meghan, James, and Ryan! They were so enthusiastic and willing to let a group of photographers capture some unique images last Saturday at Surfside.

We were a little concerned about being rained out. None of us were worried about the wedding dresses since we were going to get them wet anyway. As it turned out, sunscreen was the order of the day.

What a fabulous day on the beach. It was a real blast. The only thing that I hadn't planned on was getting the tops of my feet sunburned. I guess I was thinking that being knee-deep in the surf was OK. LOL It wasn't! However, it WAS worth it.

Hanson Fong Workshop

I spent the day on Saturday in a workshop with Hanson Fong. What a joy he is to listen to. I learned so much. I can't wait to begin using my new knowledge.

It's Been a Busy May

Well, I finally decided on what I wanted for my new website. It has both a flash and html portal...the best of both worlds. It went live last week. I'm still working on the galleries.

The past two weekends have had me out shooting. One weekend I was photographing about a dozen seniors all dressed up in their formal wear before they went out for the evening to dinner and their prom. What impressed me was how great they all looked.

The next weekend I was assisting a fellow photographer shooting a huge wedding at a beautiful venue, Agave Road, out in Katy.

It was a very extravagant affair.

Weekend Wedding

Saturday I had a great time photographing a wedding on Cinco de Mayo. The ceremony was beautiful and the reception was quite a party.

Aberdeen Wedding

I helped a couple get their dream wedding album suitable for their fairy tale wedding in Scotland. They had a friend photograph their wedding recently and received the rights to their images.

However, they had put off getting an album designed until now. We worked together to create a beautiful album they will be proud to show off.
