The Birthday Party

Last weekend I had the honor of photographing a fashion show featuring about 15 young ladies. The occasion was Lois' birthday and they had a Friday night sleepover. Saturday morning was the fashion show. We had tons of fun.

Lois's mom, Keisha, had found this really cute set of wall coverings that looked like a castle ballroom. She had put this across her living room wall as the background for the show. The girls got to have individual posings and some group shots. They were all great. Wow, so much enthusiasm...

I had brought some extra lighting and my camera gear I usually use for weddings and portraits. I shot all the images in RAW format, just like a real photo shoot. After we were done, I went back to my office and processed the best of the images, printed out 4x6 prints, and returned to the party. Everyone got to ooh and ahh over their pictures. The moms enjoyed seeing how cute their daughters had dressed up earlier.
